JAY J2 Plus

The JAY® J2™ Plus Back is a bi-angular backrest specifically designed to address the pelvic and trunk stability needs of bariatric clients. Like many patients, bariatric patients often have special positioning requirements. The Jay® J2 Plus Back addresses these requirements with optional headrest-mounting hardware, fixed lateral pads, swing-away lateral pads, spinal fluid pads, and pelvic positioning inserts.

JAY J2 Deep Contour

Pelvic and trunk positioning back support Designed for back support that provides both pelvic and trunk positioning. This back is for a client with moderate trunk and pelvic positioning needs. The J2 DC Back features a mildly curved shell for posterior pelvic and mild lateral thoracic stability. Its contoured foam insert distributes pressure over a wider area to increase comfort and reduce the risk of skin breakdown. Optional Lateral Thoracic Supports For personalised support, the J2 backs offer optional lateral thoracic pads. JAY Zip Paediatric

The JAY® Zip™ is a lightweight, anti-microbial and adjustable back designed to provide posterior and mild lateral thoracic support for active kids! The Zip back's widths and heights are sized specifically for children 2 to 15 years of age. The contour shapes vary by size, designed to accommodate the unique shapes of clients of each width. JAY J3 Carbon

The Jay J3 Carbon back provides great flexibility and comfort. This enhances the stability you need for a very active life, reduces back pain and provides great comfort. This stability means you're generating greater movement of your wheelchair with less effort, all in 690 grams! Carbon is lightweight and strong, therefore the ideal material for this backrest. JAY J3

The JAY® J3® wheelchair back range offers a multitude of different widths, heights, and contoured depth back shells to suit the clients individual positional needs. Each backrest is lightweight and adjustable, with numerous hardware choices allowing for easy installation. Designed to specifically address the pelvic and trunk stability needs of the bariatric client, the new J3 Plus Backrest* features an optional lower vanity shell extension that can pivot to accommodate redundant tissues, allowing proper positioning without interference. Accommodating up to 226kg. in widths of up to 26", the J3 Plus Backs are available with either TH 2-point or FS 4-point hardware and features a 2.2" deep contour to provide for non-restricted movement. Fitting the back to the user not the user to the back is the goal of the Spine-Align Posture Conforming system. This is accomplished by combining a wide range of individual foam components to create unique shapes that optimize postural support, evenly distribute pressure, and maximize function. Velcro strips attach to each shape so they can be placed into hundreds of configurations. The flexibility of the system is boundless.

JAY ClimaZone

JAY Fit 2U Back

For individuals who require a more complex seating solution, the JAY FIT 2U Back can be used when an off-the-shelf back cannot accommodate an individual’s orthopedic asymmetries or unique shape. For example, a client with a pronounced trunk rotation or fixed scoliosis requires multidimensional support. Unlike molded back supports, FIT 2U allows for adjustments to be made upon delivery and over time. Interlocking JAY Dovetail Inserts and built-in adjustment within the backshell make it easy to create a personalized contour to suit your client's specific needs, with the flexibility to make adjustments as their needs change. The interlocking inserts can stack from 2 to 5 layers thick or 25 mm to 65 mm. Thanks to its dovetail joint, commonly used in furniture, the interlocking pins and tails make it difficult to pull apart. They are simple, quick to change, and more supportive than a typical soft foam. Five centimeters of independent height and width adjustments can be made to handle changing postures and growing clients. Height and width growth kits are available separately that include additional dovetail inserts to make adjustments in the field. Two simple bolts on the height adjustment panel allow the panel to be increased vertically and a zippered pocket on the outer cover holds additional dovetail inserts. Three easy-to-access bolts on the adjustment wing allow it to be moved in and out for the proper width. Additional dovetail inserts can be placed in the zippered pockets on the left and right sides of the inner cover as needed to create a personalized fit that can be adjusted as the client changes.
