From the manufacturer

The iXpress is a wheel add-on: the client's existing rear wheels are replaced with powered ones, so the manual chair keeps its own frame, seating and dimensions. Nothing is added front or rear, which means transfer access and the chair's footprint are unchanged — the usual reason to choose a wheel add-on over a pull or push device. Sunrise Medical currently lists this device as the Quickie iXpress HD, in two wheel sizes with meaningfully different performance. The 16" version gives around 20 km of range at 6 kph and weighs 15.1 kg; the 24" version gives around 25 km at 8.5 kph and weighs 16.4 kg. The larger wheel is the better choice where community distance and outdoor speed matter; the smaller keeps the overall height and weight down. The weight is the honest limitation. At 15–16 kg these are substantially heavier than the Empulse M90 wheels, so if the client or carer needs to lift the wheels in and out of a vehicle regularly, check that specifically before quoting rather than assuming. Because the Australian listing now carries the HD designation, confirm with Sunrise Medical which variant is current and which chairs it is compatible with — they publish a compatibility guide for each device in this family.

We aim to make our range as accessible as possible. Some products may not be available in all areas — please contact BMS Plus to confirm availability and discuss suitable options.
