The Eco 745 is a mid-size four-wheel scooter, and the features worth drawing out at assessment are the ones that affect whether a client can operate it independently. The loop handlebar can be driven with the fingers or the thumb, which gives an alternative to clients who cannot sustain a conventional thumb-lever throttle because of arthritis, weak grip or limited thumb opposition. The tiller adjusts infinitely for reach, so it can be set to the client's shoulder range instead of approximated to the nearest notch. A half-speed switch limits top speed where reaction time or coordination is a concern, and is equally useful for indoor and shopping-centre use. The high-back contoured seat slides and swivels with simple operation, which is what makes a lateral transfer on and off the scooter possible without stepping around the tiller. The charger socket is high-mounted so the client does not have to bend to floor level to plug in. Where the client needs more capacity, choose the 745 Plus; where hills, longer distances or rough ground are involved, the Aurora 2 Hill Climber is the appropriate step up.
We aim to make our range as accessible as possible. Some products may not be available in all areas — please contact BMS Plus to confirm availability and discuss suitable options.
