The entry point of the Whitmyer range: a single contoured pad giving posterior support only, with a cupping shape that holds the occiput without the lateral control of a Cradle or S.O.F.T. Sunrise position it as the headrest for tilt or recline set-ups, where the chair itself is doing the postural work and the headrest only needs to receive the head once tilted. Pad widths run 6", 8", 10", 14" and 19". The wider pads are not about bigger heads — they are a safety measure for clients with active or unpredictable head movement, giving more surface to land on. Lateral facial pads, switches or anterior supports can be added later, so the same headrest can be escalated as presentation changes rather than replaced. Covers: Lycra (durable, water-resistant, four-way stretch), Fleece (washable natural lambswool, soft against skin), or Dartex Reversed (anti-allergenic, waterproof, two-way stretch). Six mounting hardware options: Axys (compact one-size, basic anterior-posterior adjustment), Onyx (compact, basic adjustment, paediatric and adult sizes), Linx (curved, moderate anterior-posterior adjustment), Linx2 (three points of adjustment for greater anterior/posterior range), Pro (maximum anterior adjustability, paediatric and adult), and Cobra Xtra Flip Back (modular, early intervention to adult, with a flip-back function for transfers).
