From the manufacturer

A **passive** lift — it takes the full weight of a person who cannot weight-bear at all, using a sling. That is the fundamental distinction from the Journey and the Up, which are active stand aids requiring the user to contribute effort. Getting this wrong is the most common error in a hoist prescription: an active stand aid given to a fully dependent client is unusable, and a passive hoist given to someone with standing potential removes the rehabilitation opportunity. Safe working load 155 kg (24 st / 342 lb). The swan-neck leg design is what lets it get in around furniture — the legs curve rather than running straight, so the mast can come closer to a bed or chair without the legs fouling the base. It handles transfers from the floor, which matters after a fall: many compact hoists cannot reach floor level, and a client who has fallen then needs an ambulance rather than a carer. It folds to a compact triangular package that fits the boot of most family cars, so it can travel with the client rather than confining them to home. Smart Monitor diagnostic and service controls are standard — the unit logs service data rather than relying on someone remembering the schedule, which matters for a device under a maintenance obligation. An optional shallow 4-point positioning cradle is available.

We aim to make our range as accessible as possible. Some products may not be available in all areas — please contact BMS Plus to confirm availability and discuss suitable options.
