The Q700-UP M is the Q700 M mid-wheel base fitted with the SEDEO PRO ADVANCED UP seating system, which moves the user from sitting to standing and holds any position in between. Sunrise cites the clinical rationale for standing as: improved pressure relief where a user cannot independently weight shift or must sit for long periods; increased reach and access; improved range of motion and reduced risk of contractures; support for pulmonary, bowel and bladder function and circulation; promotion of bone health and reduced skeletal deformity; and reduction of abnormal muscle tone and spasticity. The seating uses patented Biometric Repositioning, which adjusts to the movement of the body through the range rather than shearing against it. Up to six seating positions can be stored in memory and recalled directly — with the CTRL+5 switch box a position is reached by flicking a switch rather than navigating a menu, and up to 10 commands can be assigned per box. All six wheels move and suspend independently via ProGrip, with SureTrack tracking correction. Seat tilt 0–22°, backrest angle 80–165° with power recline to 165°, seat width 380–560 mm, seat depth 400–540 mm, lower leg length 340–520 mm on power centre mount, armrest height 180–370 mm. Overall width 622–660 mm, length 1070–1130 mm, turning radius 560 mm on 14" drive wheels and 6" castors. Range to 40 km with 80 Ah batteries, 10 kph, maximum safe slope 6°, kerb climb 100 mm, chair weight 160 kg with 60 Ah batteries. R-Net electronics with QUICKIE assignable buttons including long-press second functions.
