The Pro Lite is a folding transport powerchair, and it belongs to a different prescription category from a rehab power base. It is specified when the problem is getting a powered chair in and out of a car, not when the problem is postural support. The frame is magnesium alloy and folds down for transport. Published total unit weight is 16.5 kg, dropping to around 14.8 kg with the battery and legrests removed — the removable 24V 10Ah lithium battery is what makes that split possible, and it can also be charged off the chair, which matters where the client's parking is not near a power point. As with any transportable chair, the assessment question is whether the person actually doing the lifting can manage the heaviest component at the boot height of the vehicle they use. It can be driven under power or pushed as a transit chair by an attendant, which gives useful flexibility on days when the battery is flat or the environment is unsuitable for driving. Published specifications: 110 kg weight capacity, up to 6 km/h, around 15 km range. Legrests are detachable and swing away, armrests flip up and the backrest folds down. What it does not offer is tilt, recline, pressure-relief seating or postural support, and the seating is not adjustable in the way a prescribed system is. For a client with pressure-injury risk, postural asymmetry or all-day sitting needs, this is a secondary or travel chair rather than a primary one.
