A **manual, non-powered** active stand aid. There is no motor and no battery. It suits a user who can contribute genuine effort to standing, and it is designed to encourage that participation rather than substitute for it — which is why Oxford position it as a rehabilitation tool for recovery after injury or surgery, as well as a daily transfer device. That makes it the wrong choice for a fully dependent client, and the right choice where the goal is to preserve or rebuild standing ability. A powered stand aid does the work; this one requires the user to do it, with support. The distinction matters in a report: specifying a powered device for someone with residual standing ability can accelerate the loss of it. **Safe working load 200 kg (31 st)** — the highest of any stand aid in the Oxford range, and notably higher than the powered Journey at 155 kg. Worth knowing, because the assumption usually runs the other way. Unlike most manual stand aids it disassembles quickly for transport and storage, so it can move between settings or travel with the client. Being non-powered, it has no charging requirement and no battery to fail — a practical advantage in a home where equipment is used intermittently and a flat battery would otherwise mean a missed transfer. It also removes the servicing burden that comes with a powered actuator.
