The floor-level configuration of the Empresa platform. It lowers to a mattress platform height of **100 mm** — low enough that a fall from bed becomes a roll rather than a drop, which is the whole point where a resident is mobile at night, disoriented, or has a history of climbing out. It then raises to **800 mm**, a genuine nursing height, so carers are not working bent over a low bed and creating a manual handling problem of their own. Profiling is pre-programmed as one-touch care and comfort positions rather than requiring a carer to build each position manually — which matters for consistency between shifts. Functions: backrest with BodyMove, legrest, Trendelenburg 15° and anti-Trendelenburg 15°. **BodyMove** is the feature worth understanding. When a person moves from supine to sitting, the body lengthens along the mattress. A conventional backrest hinge doesn't accommodate that, so the body is dragged against the surface — shear at the sacrum, exactly where pressure damage starts. BodyMove auto-regresses the backrest to follow that lengthening, distributing pressure more evenly and reducing shear across the transition. The bed extends from 2000 mm to 2200 mm for taller residents, and an optional width extension kit takes it to 1050 mm for bariatric use — so one frame covers a range that would otherwise need two beds.
