From the manufacturer

Two points worth drawing out of the feature list, because they are the clinical reasons to choose this base. **The centre of gravity stays above the drive wheels throughout the tilt and recline range.** That is a safety property, not a comfort one: on many mid-wheel chairs, tilting rearward shifts mass behind the drive wheels and the chair becomes prone to tipping, which is why some are speed-limited or angle-limited when tilted. Holding the centre of gravity over the wheels is what allows the full 5–55° tilt to be used in practice rather than on paper. **The seat includes a mechanical shear reduction device.** As the backrest reclines through 90–150°, a fixed pivot drags the user's back against the upholstery — shear at the sacrum and scapulae, which is where pressure damage starts in a chair used for long periods. The mechanism compensates for that movement. The armrests also adjust automatically as the chair reclines rather than staying fixed and pushing into the forearms. 55° of tilt is at the upper end of what powered seating offers and is enough for genuine pressure redistribution, not just comfort repositioning. Combined with recline it covers most positioning prescriptions short of a custom system. Capacity 182 kg. Dual in-line motors, fully adjustable front and rear suspension, PG R-NET controller as standard. Options include a power seat elevator, power elevating legrests, power centre footplate, and lateral and abductor supports. **Note:** published seat width options differ between sources — 18/20/22" in one place, 16/18/20" in another.
