Specialty PLUSH Single Pad Headrest Systems are formerly modified solutions that are now offered as part of the standard product line. These include the Adjust-a-Plush for outstanding lateral support, Dual Mount for extra durability, and 12” narrow pads for low profile support.

These were previously custom modifications and are now catalogue items — which matters practically, because it means they can be ordered and funded as standard product rather than going through a custom approval. Three distinct solutions sit under the name. **Adjust-a-PLUSH** is for clients with poor head control who need lateral support on at least one side to hold an upright head posture; it controls both passive and active lateral cervical flexion, using two tapered locking joints that narrow or widen to set the degree of lateral support. **Dual Mount PLUSH**, in 14" and 19", uses two mounting points instead of one and is specified where the client has high tone or strong extension — a single-mount headrest will eventually fail under that repeated force, and this one is built to take it over time. **12" Narrow PLUSH** provides low-profile support where a full-width pad would be excessive or would interfere. Covers: Lycra (durable, water-resistant, four-way stretch), Fleece (washable natural lambswool), or Dartex Reversed (anti-allergenic, waterproof, two-way stretch). All six Whitmyer hardware options apply — Axys, Onyx, Linx, Linx2, Pro and Cobra Xtra Flip Back — and lateral facial pads, switches and anterior supports can be added.
We aim to make our range as accessible as possible. Some products may not be available in all areas — please contact BMS Plus to confirm availability and discuss suitable options.
