**Check availability before quoting.** As at August 2026, Invacare Australia's powered wheelchair range lists the **TDX SP2, AVIVA RX, ROVI and ROVI A3** — the **AVIVA FX is not among them**. It may have been withdrawn from the Australian range, or may be available on request. Confirm with the supplier before promising it to a client. **The FX is the front-wheel drive chair in the AVIVA family. That is the whole point of it, and it is a genuine clinical choice rather than a preference.** Drive wheel position changes how a chair behaves, and each layout suits a different environment: - **Front wheel drive** (this chair) pulls rather than pushes. It climbs kerbs and thresholds more readily because the driven wheels meet the obstacle first, and it tracks well outdoors on soft or uneven ground. The trade-offs are a tendency to fishtail at speed and a turning behaviour that takes practice, because the chair pivots behind the user - **Rear wheel drive** — the AVIVA RX — tracks most stably in a straight line at speed, but needs the most room to turn - **Centre wheel drive** — the TDX SP2 — gives the tightest turning circle and the most intuitive indoor driving, because the chair turns about a point roughly under the user **Specify front wheel drive where the client's environment involves regular kerbs, thresholds, grass or gravel**, and where they have the control to manage the different handling. For someone mostly indoors, centre wheel drive is usually the better fit. **Seat-to-floor height 16.75 inches (about 425 mm)** — achieved while still carrying a full-size 14-inch drive wheel and a Group 24 battery, which is unusual. A low seat gets knees under a table; a full-size drive wheel keeps traction and obstacle capability. Most chairs trade one for the other. **4Sure suspension** is designed to isolate the chair from vibration and shock and to hold the seat close to level when crossing obstacles. Keeping the seat flat over a kerb matters for anyone with poor trunk control, who would otherwise be thrown forward each time. **G-TRAC gyroscopic tracking correction is standard**, which Invacare position as fatigue reduction. That is most valuable on alternative controls, where every corrective input costs real effort. Available with **Motion Concepts Ultra Low Maxx** power positioning, or a **Modular Power Standing System** — the standing option is worth knowing about, since supported standing has circulatory, bone density and bowel function benefits beyond the postural ones. LED lighting. Component layout designed for quick service access. **We have not added dimensions, capacity or range figures beyond those above**, because Invacare Australia does not currently list this model and we will not quote a full specification from an overseas configuration.
