The only Whitmyer system that supports the head in all three planes — anterior, posterior and lateral — in one assembly. The anterior stabilisation arms are what set it apart: they stabilise the shoulders and trunk anteriorly and laterally, on the principle that head control follows trunk control, so the arms address the cause rather than only catching the head. The arms swing out, which solves the practical problem those systems usually create — a client can be transferred in and out without dismantling the head support, and the set-up is preserved rather than re-adjusted each time. Lower lateral adjustment on the arms accommodates different body shapes. Two posterior support options are available underneath: the Contoured Cradle, giving comfortable and easily adjusted lateral cervical support from infants to adults, or the Single Sub-Occipital, giving sub-occipital and proximal lateral cervical support with an independently adjustable occipital pad. Sizes: Infant 2.8", Small 3.5", Medium 4.1", Large 5.3". Covers are Lycra (durable, water-resistant, four-way stretch) or Dartex Reversed (anti-allergenic, waterproof, two-way stretch) — note Fleece is not offered on this system. Six mounting hardware options from Axys through to Cobra Xtra Flip Back, and lateral facial pads, switches and anterior supports can be added.
