Independent head and legrest control with power lumbar support, on a USB hand control. The feature that separates the Mercer from the rest of the range is the **footrest extension** — the legrest extends beyond its standard length, which is what makes the chair workable for taller users whose calves and heels would otherwise hang unsupported off the end of a standard legrest. Unsupported lower legs are a common cause of poor sitting tolerance and of pressure loading through the heels, so this is a genuine prescribing consideration rather than a comfort extra. Otherwise the clinical picture follows the range: power lift to a near-standing position to support sit-to-stand transfers for users with lower limb weakness or balance impairment; independent headrest and lumbar adjustment to tune spinal alignment and reduce postural fatigue; contoured cushioning over a high-density foam seat base for clients at mild to moderate risk of skin breakdown. Both the Mercer Standard and Mercer Petite are DVA approved. Premium comfort-touch fabric in two Badlands colourways: Saddle and Eclipse.
We aim to make our range as accessible as possible. Some products may not be available in all areas — please contact BMS Plus to confirm availability and discuss suitable options.
