An **automated lateral turning system** that repositions a person in bed without a manual log-roll. It sits under the existing mattress arrangement and uses inflatable wings to tilt the person from one side to the other. **Wings elevate up to 80°.** Two modes: - **Manual** — a carer presses a button and the device turns the person, replacing the physical roll - **Automatic** — the control box runs a preprogrammed turning cycle, with additional configurable settings The clinical case is repositioning frequency. Pressure injury prevention depends on turns actually happening on schedule overnight, and that is precisely when staffing is thinnest and turns get missed. An automated cycle removes the dependency on someone being available. It also changes the manual handling picture: the manufacturer positions this as reducing a two-carer repositioning task to one. Where a client is currently waiting for a second carer to be free before they can be turned, that is the difference between a turn happening on time and not at all. **Note on the claims:** the manufacturer states benefits including pressure ulcer prevention, improved sleep, reduced staff attrition and a 3–4 month payback period. These are the supplier's own figures, not independently verified findings — treat them as claims to test against your own client's situation rather than as evidence for a report.
