**The rotating seat is a transfer feature, and for some clients it is the deciding one.** The seat turns a full 360° in both directions with **locking positions every 90°**. That means the client can sit down facing out of the shower — where there is room and something to hold — and then be rotated to face in, instead of twisting their trunk while balanced on a wet floor. **That matters most under hip precautions.** After a hip replacement, twisting the trunk over a fixed pelvis is one of the movements clients are told to avoid. Rotating the seat instead of the person removes it entirely. The same applies to anyone with painful or restricted spinal rotation. **Locking at 90° intervals is the safety-critical part.** Confirm the lock is engaged before the client bears weight — a seat free to rotate under a transfer is worse than a fixed one. **Converts between chair and stool.** The back and armrests detach, so the same frame can be used with support during recovery and simplified later as sitting balance improves — or the reverse. That makes it a sensible choice where the client's function is expected to change. **Safe working load 136 kg.** Lower than the S-bend chairs in this range at 160 kg — the rotating mechanism costs capacity, so check the client's weight against it specifically rather than assuming the range is consistent. **Check the floor before relying on the suction tips.** Suction needs a smooth, non-porous surface; most modern bathrooms use a **textured anti-slip tile** that will not seal. Height-adjustable extension legs — set the seat so the feet are flat and the hips sit at or slightly above knee height.
