**Raises seat height and adds arm support, clamping directly to the pan** — no floor frame, so it takes up no extra room and can stay in place in a small or shared bathroom. **Three adjustable heights.** Height is the clinical decision, and more is not better. Raise the seat only as far as the client needs to stand comfortably. **Too high and their feet stop loading properly**, which removes the push-off from the legs and makes standing harder, not easier — and it worsens toileting posture, since a higher seat straightens the hip angle in a way that works against effective bowel emptying. The usual target is hips level with or slightly above knees, feet flat. **It is most often prescribed under hip precautions** — after a hip replacement, clients are typically restricted from flexing the hip past 90°, and a standard toilet puts them well past it. A raised seat is often the difference between managing at home and not. **Safe working load 136 kg**, lower than the 160 kg over-toilet frame in this range. **The load goes through the toilet pan**, which is worth thinking about with a heavier client or an older pan of uncertain condition. Where either applies, a floor-standing over-toilet frame is the safer specification. **Clamps securely into position**, and the clamp should be checked periodically — a seat that shifts as someone lowers onto it is a fall risk at the worst moment. **Fits most bowl shapes**, but confirm against the client's actual pan before ordering; older and non-standard bowls exist. Tough moulded PVC, lightweight, and easy to clean — which matters for a surface being cleaned daily.
