Rear-wheel drive with independent suspension on all four wheels. Rear-wheel drive tracks naturally at speed and is generally preferred by users who came from a rear-wheel chair or who want predictable straight-line behaviour outdoors; the compromise against mid-wheel is a larger turning circle, here 65.2 cm (25.7"). The R-TRAK's base is compact for its drive type, so it gives up less indoor manoeuvrability than a typical rear-wheel chair. Four-pole sealed motors, automotive-grade SRS suspension, LED fender lights, USB charger and drive wheel colour accents are standard. Optional 25.4 cm (10") seat elevation permits driving at up to 5.6 km/h while raised. Crash tested to ISO 7176-19 in all configurations. Maximum speed 10 km/h, ground clearance 10 cm (3.97") at the battery tray — the highest of the on-road Quantum bases. Overall length 88.3 cm, base width 61.4 cm. Drive wheels 35.6 cm (14") pneumatic, solid or 14 × 4" wide flat-free; front castors 22.8 cm (9") solid or pneumatic.
