An all-wheel-drive base built for unsealed ground — gravel, bush track, paddock — rather than for indoor manoeuvring. Four-pole sealed motors drive all four 38.1 cm (14") knobby pneumatic tyres; there are no castors. Ground clearance is 10.7 cm measured at the motors, roughly 40% more than the Edge 4, which is what allows it to clear ruts and rocks rather than ground out on them. SRS suspension and a reinforced frame keep the ride stable over rough surfaces. The trade-off is footprint: turning radius is 125 cm (49") and base width 73.2 cm (29"), so this is not a chair that will turn in a domestic hallway or bathroom — most users pair it with a second indoor chair. Overall length 106.7 cm. Maximum speed 10 km/h, dropping to 5.6 km/h with the optional 25.4 cm (10") seat elevation raised. LED lighting package standard. Highest weight capacity of any non-bariatric base in the Quantum range at 160 kg.
