The narrow-base Edge, intended where a standard mid-wheel chair will not fit the home. Base width is 54.6 cm with 35.5 cm (14") drive wheels or 51.9 cm with 31.7 cm (12.5") wheels, and overall length is 82.5 cm without front riggings — the shortest base in the Edge family. Turning radius 53.3 cm (21"). The drive wheel choice is a genuine trade-off: the smaller wheel buys roughly 3 cm of width, the larger gives better obstacle performance. Independent SRS (Smooth Ride Suspension) is automotive-grade and carries over from the full-size Edge, so the narrow base does not come at the cost of ride quality. Optional iLevel provides 12" (30.5 cm) of combined lift and tilt with driving at 5.6 km/h while elevated. 2-pole motors, Q-Logic 3 drive controls, LED front and rear fender lights, quiet ride technology and a USB charger are standard. Crash tested to ISO 7176-19 in all configurations. Maximum speed 10 km/h, ground clearance 7.3 cm. Front castors 12.7 or 15.3 cm solid, rear castors 15.2 cm solid.
