The Yoga is a transportable scooter, and it is worth being clear about what that means clinically. It is designed to be folded, lifted and carried — into a car boot, onto public transport, into accommodation — rather than to serve as a client's primary all-day mobility. The frame is lightweight alloy and the battery is 24V lithium-ion with a 2A off-board charger, so the pack can be removed and charged away from the scooter. That combination is what keeps the lifted weight within reach of a carer or partner, and it is usually the deciding factor in whether the equipment actually gets used. Two design details are relevant to stability. The patented twin-front-wheel arrangement with spring suspension widens the front contact patch, which helps a short-wheelbase scooter feel less skittish than its size suggests. A built-in speed reduction switch activates on turning, which reduces the risk of a tip on a cornering error — a meaningful safeguard for a user with slower reaction times. The tiller adjusts for both height and angle, and armrests are standard. An optional separate charging station is available. For a client who needs range, outdoor capability or all-day seating tolerance, a full-size scooter is the better prescription.
