**The petite frame with standard support — for a smaller client with adequate trunk control.** **Petite is a clinical size, not a style.** A smaller person in a standard lift chair cannot get their back to the backrest without their feet leaving the floor. They slide forward to reach the ground, lose all back support, and sacral sit for hours a day — loading the sacrum where pressure injuries form and making standing up considerably harder. A lift chair that doesn't fit is worse than no lift chair, because the client spends far more time in it than they would in an ordinary armchair. **Measure before ordering:** - **Seat depth** — two to three fingers between the back of the knee and the seat edge - **Seat width** — roughly 25 mm clearance each side of the hips, no more. Too wide and the client leans, and over months that becomes a fixed lateral posture - **Seat height** — feet flat on the floor, hips level with or slightly above the knees **Standard rather than lateral support.** The lateral variant adds wings either side of the trunk for clients who lean — hemiplegia, scoliosis, pelvic obliquity. Where trunk control is adequate, standard is correct. **Dual motor**, so backrest and leg rest drive independently rather than on one fixed arc — which lets the chair accommodate a fixed hip angle or legs needing elevation above heart height for oedema. Headrest and lumbar support included. **Safe working load 158 kg.**
