**Designed and manufactured in compliance with IEC 60601-2-52**, the international standard for medical beds. That is the standard covering entrapment zones, side rail geometry and electrical safety, and it is the one worth citing directly in a funding submission — most domestic adjustable beds are not built to it. **Height range 150–680 mm.** The 150 mm floorline position is the fall-injury strategy: a resident who mobilises unpredictably falls a short distance onto the floor rather than from bed height. The 680 mm top of range gives the carer an ergonomic working height. Few beds span both ends properly. **Safe working load 250 kg**, with a stated structural safety factor of 2×. **Mattress depth must be between 100 mm and 170 mm when side rails are fitted.** This is the number people get wrong, and it is a safety limit rather than a recommendation: - **Too thick** and the rail sits too low relative to the mattress surface, so the client can roll over the top of it - **Too thin** and the gap between mattress and rail opens up, which is an entrapment risk Check the mattress against this before pairing the two. A thick pressure-care mattress and side rails are frequently incompatible. **Four-section platform** with independent adjustment: **backrest to 65°, knee section to 35°**. Independent knee bend matters — raising the backrest alone slides the client down the bed, while a little knee break holds the pelvis in place and prevents both the slide and the shear that comes with it. **Trendelenburg, head and foot down, to 14°.** Head-down tilt assists venous return and lets a carer reposition a client who has slipped toward the foot end using gravity rather than a drag lift. It is contraindicated where raised intracranial pressure is a concern and can worsen respiratory effort — prescribe it rather than leaving it available. **One-button chair positioning** brings the bed to a seated posture in a single action. **Eight castors: four braking, four free-wheeling**, 75 mm twin Tente. **IP54 rated** for water and dust ingress, which is what makes it properly cleanable. Under-bed lighting for night-time orientation. Removable timber head and foot panels — quicker access for care and physiotherapy, and it lets the bed read as furniture rather than equipment. **Sizes:** Single 920 mm wide (1000 mm with rails fitted), King Single 1090 mm (1200 mm with rails). **Add the rail width when measuring the room** — that is 80–110 mm people forget. Overall length 2110 mm, or 2305 mm with the base extension out. Recommended mattress 860 × 1970 mm Single, 1070 × 1970 mm King Single. Bed weight 119 kg Single / 125 kg King Single, or 138 kg / 144 kg with rails fitted.
