Strike the perfect balance between indoor performance and long-range driving with the F35. Looking to avoid congestion charges? Leave the car at home thanks to a range of up to 9 miles. Facing walkways with challenging slopes? Its robust 250-watt motor handles gradients of 6° (even with a 242-pound user weight). Keep pace with the hustle and bustle of the sidewalk with a maximum speed of 9.3 MPH. Plus, with three selectable speed profiles, you can quickly tap into extra power to overcome changing conditions. Riders can choose from three speed modes – slow (3.7 MPH), standard (6.2 MPH), and fast (up to 9.3 MPH) – and select from three acceleration profiles (Slow, Standard, and Fast) to match the terrain or their preference.

The F35 is the smallest and lightest device in the Empulse pull range, from 9 kg complete with battery and sub-frame. A pull device docks at the front of the manual chair and lifts the castors clear of the ground, so the chair effectively becomes a three-wheeler driven from a handlebar throttle. That changes the ride considerably — rough footpaths, tram tracks and driveway lips stop being obstacles — but it also means the client has to be able to dock and undock the unit, which takes trunk control, reach and a degree of hand dexterity. Sunrise Medical's own selection guidance places the F35 as suitable for users with moderate to high hand function and moderate to high upper limb strength, driven by the rider rather than an attendant, in indoor and urban environments. If the client's hand function is impaired, the M90 wheel add-on is the device in this range that accommodates it. Published range is up to 15 km with a top speed of 15 kph, regulated across three levels — useful for staged introduction, or for keeping the device inside a safe operating envelope for a less confident user. The 6.5" wheel keeps the docked length short, which matters if the client needs to negotiate lifts or a vehicle. Where longer range or rougher ground is the requirement, the F55 is the heavier but more capable option in the same family.
We aim to make our range as accessible as possible. Some products may not be available in all areas — please contact BMS Plus to confirm availability and discuss suitable options.
