The padded protection configuration of the Empresa platform — the version specified where a client has involuntary movement and is at risk of striking the bed frame or rails. Padding covers the contact surfaces rather than relying on the resident avoiding them. The underlying platform is the standard Empresa: mattress height adjusts from 100 mm to 800 mm, so the bed drops to floor level overnight for fall prevention and rises to a nursing height for care tasks without the carer stooping. Pre-programmed one-touch care and comfort positions keep positioning consistent between carers. Profiling functions are backrest with BodyMove, legrest, Trendelenburg 15° and anti-Trendelenburg 15°. **BodyMove** auto-regresses the backrest as the body lengthens moving from supine to sitting — without it, a fixed hinge drags the body against the mattress and generates shear at the sacrum. That matters more, not less, for a client who spends long periods in bed and cannot reposition themselves.
