Two design decisions distinguish it. The first is the surface itself: air cells combined with a soft foam top layer rather than air alone. Foam over air gives immersion and a stable, comfortable surface while the cells beneath do the offloading. A pure air surface can feel unstable and can make repositioning and transfers harder, which is a practical reason clients and carers turn systems off. The second is the alternation pattern.
