**Lowest point 230 mm.** Highest point **640 mm** in Long Single and King Single, but only **540 mm** in Long Double — check that, because the wider bed gives up 100 mm at the top of the range and that is exactly where carer working height lives. **300 kg weight rating.** **Wired hand control**, not wireless. Treat that as a feature rather than a shortcoming when specifying: a wired control cannot be lost down the side of the bed, dropped out of reach, or carried off. For a resident with cognitive impairment or limited reach, a tethered control is often the safer choice. Where the user needs to operate the bed from a chair across the room, it isn't. **Trendelenburg positioning.** Head-down tilt assists venous return and lets a carer reposition someone who has slipped down the bed using gravity rather than a drag lift — which is a genuine manual handling saving. Be deliberate about it, though: head-down positioning is contraindicated where raised intracranial pressure is a concern, and can worsen breathing in someone already respiratorily compromised. Avante position the Lo-Lo for **people transferring to and from a wheelchair**. The height range lets the bed be set level with the chair seat for a flat lateral transfer, which is far safer than transferring up or down a step. This is the simpler sibling of the ErgoAdjust Lo Lo — same 230 mm floor height and same 300 kg rating, without the head tilt, presets, massage or under-bed lighting.
