**Lowest point 230 mm, highest point 650 mm.** That 230 mm floor position is the reason to choose this over the ErgoAdjust Care, which stops at 380 mm. 150 mm of extra drop is the difference between a fall onto the floor from bed height and a short slide — and it is what allows the bed to be used as a fall-injury strategy instead of bed rails. The 650 mm top of range still lets a carer work without stooping. **300 kg weight rating** — among the highest in the Avante range and enough for most bariatric prescribing without moving to a specialist frame. **Trendelenburg and reverse Trendelenburg.** Worth being precise about these, because they are often listed as a feature and rarely explained: - **Trendelenburg** tilts the whole bed head-down. It is used to assist venous return and to reposition a resident who has slipped toward the foot of the bed — gravity does the work instead of a carer dragging them up - **Reverse Trendelenburg** tilts head-up as a whole unit, which raises the head without bending the body. That distinction matters for reflux and respiratory work of breathing, where you want elevation without hip flexion **Trendelenburg is not appropriate for everyone.** Head-down positioning is contraindicated where intracranial pressure is a concern and can worsen breathing in someone already respiratorily compromised. It should be prescribed, not just left available. **Head tilt** operates independently of back raise — useful for reading or watching television without elevating the whole trunk. Avante position this specifically for **people transitioning to and from a wheelchair**, which is a matter of matching bed height to chair seat height for a level lateral transfer. The wide height range is what makes that possible. Programmable preset positions, wireless hand control, under-bed lighting, vibration massage.
