**Removable arms, castors and a push bar — this is a lift chair configured as a care chair.** That combination changes what it can do: - **Removable arms** open the side for a lateral slide transfer, board transfer, or hoist approach. On a fixed-arm lift chair every transfer has to go over the arm or out the front, which is harder on both the client and the carer - **Castors and push bar** mean the client can be moved between rooms while seated, rather than transferred twice. For someone who transfers with difficulty, halving the number of transfers in a day is a real reduction in risk **Battery backup.** On a lift chair this is a safety feature, not a convenience. Without it, a power cut leaves a reclined user unable to bring the chair upright and unable to stand — stuck, possibly for hours, possibly needing an ambulance. Any lift chair for a client who cannot self-transfer should have it. **Dual motor**, so back and leg rest drive independently rather than following one fixed recline arc. That matters for anyone with a fixed hip angle or needing legs elevated above heart height for oedema. It is a step below a four-motor chair, which adds independent headrest and lumbar. **180 kg weight rated.** **Wired multi-function controller.** A tethered control cannot be lost down the side of the chair — worth having where reach or cognition is limited. Three vibration massage motors, which is a comfort feature rather than a clinical one.
