**A four-motor lift recliner, supplied in four sizes: Small, Medium, Large and Maxi.** The size range is the reason to specify the Raphael — a lift recliner that doesn't fit is worse than no lift recliner, because a client who cannot get their back to the backrest will sacral sit in it for hours a day. Fit before finish. Seat width should clear the hips by roughly 25 mm each side and no more; seat depth should leave two to three fingers between the back of the knee and the seat edge. Too deep and the client perches forward with no back support. Too wide and they lean to one side and develop a fixed lateral posture over time. **Four independent motors** — headrest, back, leg rest and lumbar all drive separately, so each segment can be set to the body rather than following one fixed recline arc. That matters for a fixed hip angle, a flexion contracture, or legs that need to sit above heart height for oedema. **Independent lumbar support** maintains the lumbar curve when reclined. Without it the pelvis rolls posteriorly and the client slides into sacral sitting — the position that loads the sacrum where pressure injuries form. **Integrated lift** assists sit-to-stand. Set it to bring the client to standing height without tipping them forward off the front edge. **ARTG 306075.** Tested to **ISO 13934-1** and **ISO 13937-1** (fabric tensile and tear strength) and **BS 6807** and **BS 7175** — the British ignition-resistance standards for beds and bedding, frequently a procurement requirement in residential aged care. Head and armrest covers are included, which is a practical detail: those are the two areas that wear and soil first, and replaceable covers extend the life of the upholstery.
