**Seat width 370 mm, safe working load 125 kg.** The 370 mm seat is narrow — measure hip width before specifying, as this will not suit a broader user and a too-narrow seat causes trochanteric pressure. **Flip-back armrests and swing-away legrests.** Both matter for transfers rather than comfort: flip-back arms remove the obstacle for a lateral slide transfer to a bed or toilet, and swing-away legrests clear the space in front of the chair so the feet can be placed for a stand transfer. A chair with fixed arms and legrests forces every transfer to be done over the top, which is harder on both client and carer. **24-inch quick-release rear wheels** — self-propelling size, and quick-release means the wheels come off to fit the chair in a car boot. **PU tyres**, puncture-resistant and effectively maintenance-free. The trade-off against pneumatic tyres is a harder ride, which is worth weighing where the user has pain or sits for long periods. Aluminium frame with padded nylon upholstery.
