**Three configurations from one frame:** over-toilet aid, freestanding commode, and shower chair. That versatility is the reason to choose it, and it is genuinely useful in two situations — a client whose needs are still being established during a trial period, and a home where the bathroom and bedroom arrangement is likely to change. Buying one adaptable frame rather than three fixed ones is also a more defensible line in a funding submission. The trade-off is worth stating: a frame designed to do three jobs does none of them as well as a purpose-built unit. Where a client has significant postural support needs or spends extended periods seated, a dedicated shower commode will fit better. **Aluminium construction** — rust-resistant, which is what makes it viable in a wet area, and light enough to be repositioned by the client or a single carer. **Height adjustable**, and sized to fit over most standard toilets. Set the height so the client's feet are flat and hips sit at or slightly above knee level — too low and they cannot stand from it unaided.
